Commiserations to Bedford Blues who were narrowly beaten by Bristol in the B&I Cup Final on Saturday 7th May. They were looking great in the new ZOO Sport jerseys though!
The quality of them looked good from the terrace at the memorial stadium. Maybe it will look better with your own shorts and socks in your own colours, rather than the kooga ones. I really dislike the (what looks like) royal blue piping, navy would have looked better and would have been more traditional. overall I think there are too many colours on the shirt, white, royal, navy, sky, red(collar),red(sponsor). I think it would look a lot better if the same red (for sponsor and collar) and blues (sky and navy) where used throughout. I really like the style of the numbers but white on a white shirt didn't work from a distance, and was quite difficult to see. My comments of course are personal taste, some thought the shirt OK, most I spoke to didn't think much of it and some didn't care at all.
Thanks for your comments, we always value constructive feedback. The colour and design of the shirt was chosen by the club management and was White with Sky piping and a Navy collar, so within the jersey design 3 colours and all linked to Bedford. There was no royal? The only red came from the Autoglass sponsors, in which we are restricted to replicating the relevant sponsors corporate identity, the other red on the picture is the under garment worn specifically by the individual player and not part of the kit design. The numbers are an "outline" style and I agree up close they look good, not so from a distance and so something for us to note. The jerseys were ordered very late and were made in 3 weeks, they were simply an opportunity by the club to have a fresh new one-off set for an important cup final. It isn't linked to next season. Comments are of course personal taste, but we value feedback and appreciate the time spent on updating the blog.
lets hope the home kit is a LOT BETTER.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it that disappointed you about these jerseys?
